Competitive Analysis
Next, I conducted a competitor research to understand the
opportunities for crafting a unique customer journey that can set Barrway apart from the
crowd. For this, I selected Yelp which provides a platform for businesses to list their
services and enables users to explore them. I also explored Squareup which provides
extensive software solutions, including appointment scheduling platform for businesses.
Barrway on the other hand is an amalgamation of both kind of features, catering to 2
different kinds of user base as its Unique Selling Point! It also enables company to list
multiple businesses. They can setup different calendar for different business as well
Once we finalised the features for the Barrway platform, I discovered one limitation which I had not covered before. Appointment booking flows differ based on the category of service and user requirement. I categorised the services and discussed with the clients the complexity of the design. Subsequently, I created I presented different user flows based on service category to our client. Once we got the heads up, I went ahead and created the wireframes and mockups.
Once I gathered feedback from our client, I created wireframes and first iteration mockups. This was a long process since we had a multiple user base and a complex user flow. I presented the wireframes to the client. I also designed a low- fidelity prototype for our client to conduct the usability testing.
Wireframes
I gathered client’s feedback and embarked on the exciting phase
of
designing mockups that can bring our vision to life! I meticulously
translated
concepts into visual representations, refining each element with
precision. The
visual elements such as color schemes, typography, and icons were based on
the
Barrway brand playbook. Every detail in the design system was curated
to
evoke
the desired user experience. I implemented a user-friendly navigation and
intuitive structure to our platform for our users to ensure a flawless user
experience. The final mockups and prototype were crafted for both web
platform
and mobile application (only for customer user base), ensuring
consistency
across devices.
Through iterative collaboration with our
client, I ensured
that the mockups not only capture the essence of their vision but also
develop a
remarkable application platform journey ahead.
